    2. Squeeze the dynamometer as hard as possible.
    3. Apply grip force in a smooth motion, avoiding jerking.
    4. Repeat twice more for a total of three times1.
    5. Make sure the dynamometer base rests on the first metacarpal (heel of the palm) and the handle rests on the middle of the four fingers2.
