I've seen cutters with 150,000 lbs of cutting force capable of cutting a B-post, while another cutter advertising 208,000 lbs of cutting force stall on the same car, same B-post, same day. And this was on a car that Moditech was showing as having a B-post with 195,000 lbs of tensile strength.

Jan 6, 2001 · In reply to this controversy of ram slippage our Dept. overcame this problem years ago by a simple and economical method. Our F.D. Shop created an "L" shape bracket using 4" steel channel. The long leg of the "L" rests on the door jam. The short leg of the "L" is welded to the long leg and it would come to rest against the "B" post.
