Then a 19CIN for full sun and background with green grass or trees. medium light RHCP is great red enhancer and low light use a 65CIMN. if you shoot at night or indoors (pistol) can use a 98AR. Pilla marks the lens with a number and then some alphabetic code. The number is most important. A 22N means the lens will suppress 78% of the light and the N means it is supposed to neutralize a green background.

Well I’ve been wanting Pillas for some time and found a site that had them on sale in Canada. $190 per outlaw X7 lens so I picked up a frame, 80HC and 55PWC lenses. I’ve never been a fan of the purple lenses that I’ve tried and there wasn’t a lot of selection left online.

Nov 23, 2015 · They just disappear, I just bought a set of the 50RHC Pilla lenses to add to my other 10 sets. They are a mixture of red and purple and help a lot. The Max orange I tried made an orange target a pale yellow used them 5 minutes got rid of them.

Oct 20, 2020 · Look at the pilla website and study your choices. There is a description of each lens and a lens simulator that demonstrates the lens effect on a target against different backgrounds. I agree that you want a lens for full sun, clouds, and gray/ dusk . Low numbers are full sun (10 to 30). Get some ideas.

Jun 25, 2019 · My favorite lens for most situations was the 50RHC. It damped green foliage background, really made the target pop, and greatly reduced glare off snow in the winter. For bright sun I used the 18CED. For situations with less light I used the 70PWC. I also used the 45MAX occasionally, but not very often.
