Make good power too if you put an egt gauge in, up fuel and boost. Get a turbo one, non turbos are painfully slow. TD power. Bush Crasher. Posts: 99.

May 5, 2006 · On a TD27, the Glow plugs turn off soon after light goes out. Pre-Combustion chambers have been heated to a temperature suitable to allow engine to run. The intake manifold heater then kicks in and heats the intake manifold and the air passing through it to enable the engine to warm up quickly.

Nov 5, 2008 · The QD32 has more low down grunt but the TD27 likes to rev a bit more. In my experience the QD is actually a little cheaper to run. We have 4 R50's at work, 2 QD's and 2 TD powered and they have all done big k's. Personally I would get the QD over a TD if they were the same price. 89lux.

The main power to the relay runs through the manifold heater. There are two wires from the intake manifold heater. Unplug it at the firewall and bridge it out.

May 26, 2006 · To gain horsepower, increasing boost (eg. more air) is only part of it. Once you have increased boost, as cheap insurance on motor, install an EGT guage (google "moonlight racing" and check out 60mm guages), then you can tweak fuel up. The more fuel, the more horspower and the higher the exhaust gas temperature, so there is a balance.
