Two pollen trap designs are described. Both designs use the same principle of removing pollen from the bees but differ greatly in all other features and in method of mounting on the hive.

WEBNov 12, 2018 · Upper and lower bars are 15x25x395 left and right bars are 7.5x25x26 mm. Ram + space = 37.5mm => 9 rams hive is 9x37.5mm in width. Truth is... every beekeeper claims that his mesurments are the (correct) ones. My hive heights from top to bottom: Wall tickness is 20mm. Space above rams is 6mm. Rams are 260mm.

WEBJul 28, 2015 · I don't remember where I found this, but it is the one I use: Super Cheap and Effective Robber Screen Cut a piece of 8 gauge screen 3" wide and 2" longer than the width of the opening on your hive. Fold it into a "w" shape along the 3" width with 90 degree corners i.e. you'll have four 3/4" legs.

Most 8 frame equipement seems to be a bit wider, though. Perhaps someone who has some can measure it and let you know if you wish to mix commercial and home-made boxes. Peter.

WEBApr 9, 2014 · As to his extra-deep frames, there are two ways available that make sense to me. Walter Kelley has made end bars available that make frames that will fit 2 deeps. But they are pricey, at $1.25 each-- that's per end bar, each. And they do have the disadvantage that they can't be extracted in a normal extractor.
