Mar 2, 2021 · Plain whole milk kefir sweetened with sugar-free jam to cure chronic Steatorrhea. Funny how the plain one has so much sugar but had to be sweetened still to hide the sour taste. Very high in carbs. Only drink 1 cup per day, or maybe 1 in the morning & one before bed. Feel pretty good & cozy after consuming.

Dec 13, 2021 · I am using, 150 to 250 grams of kefir grains to 1 liter of semi-skimmed milk, 24h fermentation. I then store the kefir for 8 hours or more in the fridge. We sometimes use kefir replacing yoghurt. So you can add oats, dried/fresh fruits (cranberries, raspberries, strawberries...) for breakfast. I also use kefir when making bread.

Feb 3, 2020 · It's not about the bacteria in the milk making the kefir... It is pasteurized, so the levels of bacteria in there should be very low. The bacteria that do all the work are on the grains itself. What the bacteria need from the milk is the lactose. The proteins and fat help contribute to the texture of the final product.
