How to tell when Brad's Atomic Grape tomatoes are ripe.
WEBJul 18, 2020 · On the top row, the tomato has just started to turn. At this stage they are a bit under ripe, they are more tart and not as sweet. The inside has taken almost no color. Middle row is when I try to pick them, they start to splash orange and get a lot sweeter. The insides just start to take on a yellow tint, and can sometimes have orange streaks.

WEBApr 11, 2018 · Perfect sliced in half with a little salt. As they are varied in color, you do have to check each group for ripeness. They are somewhat camouflaged in greens, reds, purples -- somewhat easy to miss amongst the leaves. I'm in 8a, looking forward to buying some at the Clemson horticultural dept. sale this weekend.

WEBJun 16, 2020 · Yes, keep fertilizing. That Jobes organic tomato fertilizer works great. The healthier the plant, the more it needs to be fed. I'm going to have to check out Brad's Atomic Grape Tomatoes next year. They look pretty unique.

WEBMay 5, 2023 · We seed around 60, plant for 80% germination, plan to lose 10% of the seedlings, and keep 25-30. I had bad luck with my first run of Brad's atomics too. My second run seems to be doing ok, but we'll see if they survive hardening off outside. I won't be heart broken if they don't survive.
