Now I can listen to my 845 tube amp with Klipsch speakers, my Loxjie A30 with the Focal speakers, and another amp with in wall speakers, without unplugging anything. High frequency can and does roll off, depending on the reactive load seen by the output stage at any given time, but the roll-off is typically above 15KHz, where adults have diminished hearing.

Dec 10, 2019 · Actually, the Heresy was first marketed in 1957. It was Paul Klipsch's first attempt to create a fill center channel between two widely spaced (stereo) Khorns. Stereo recordings were just hitting the scene about that time. He later created the Cornwall (1959) and then the La Scala (1963) for that same purpose.

I listened mostly nearfield to the Heresy speakers and they were always paired with an SVS sb2000 sub.

Klipsch firmly and sincerely believed that the enclosure was the important part of a loudspeaker system -- the drivers, from his perspective, were strictly commodities. I can't say I agree, FWIW. The LS-8 ex vivo, so to speak The EV Sonocaster used the EV "Michigan" MC-8, with a 3/4" VC rather than the LS-8's 2" VC.

Feb 27, 2024 · The classic Klipsch Heresy and La Scala models still sound lively but are best listened to in far field, in my opinion. On some cuts, they can raise that 'sounds live' gooseflesh. On everyone's bucket list should be la Scalas playing back Elvis singing "Fever." Holy cow. Acoustat 2+2 speakers are almost bullet proof electrostatics.
