The East Aurora, New York resident was airlifted from the scene to a nearby hospital, where she died from serious injuries.

East Aurora Police say 79-year-old Mary Kerwin was hit and killed by a USPS delivery vehicle at the intersection of Main Street and Olean Road Sunday morning.

A 79-year-old woman was killed after being struck by a United States Postal Service delivery vehicle while crossing Main Street in East Aurora on Sunday, according to police. The woman was taken to ECMC by Mercy Flight and died at the hospital,

Mary E. Kerwin was crossing Main Street at Olean Road at 10:02 a.m. when she was hit by a United States Postal Service vehicle, the East Aurora Police Department said in a news release. At the time of the crash, the delivery vehicle had been turning right onto Main Street from Olean Road, police said.
