A new Massachusetts State Lottery game left a Taunton man very "merry" after he landed a $1 million jackpot. Michael Barber Jr. won the seven-figure prize by playing the “$1,000,000 Merry & Bright," a $5 scratch-off game.

The winner of the first $1 million prize to be claimed from a scratch ticket game released last month in Massachusetts came forward with their ticket on Monday. Stacey Hildreth-Fortin, of Springfield, won $1 million from a “ $1,000,000 Ultimate 7 ″ scratch ticket. The game was released on Sept. 9 and costs $5 per ticket to play.
