It's about a 90 minute drive up a precarious road but worth it when you get there. It is very high up - so very cold - and the tour is 2 hours - so prepare for the cold. The glazier is spectacular Full review by flyingscot2208

Hi! Can you tell me if you took a guide in the Navado de Ruiz? Is it necessary to take a tour with a guide? Any good options that are not too expensive? Any options that would stop by the hot springs on the way back to Manizales?

If you don't have a car, probably easiest to hire a guide and they can tailor the day for you to include the springs. We hired a guide through our hotel.
