As others have noted, the outside of this building/grounds doesn't' seem to be as well taken care of as other NPS properties/attractions; it almost seems closed. We pass by this every year on vacati… Full review by ACTtherapist

Interesting and informative displays of NC minerals. Plenty of parking. However, staff do not adhere to posted and published open schedule and are as much as 30 min or more late in opening the doors… Full review by docp667

Drove hour and half each way to take grandson here. Museum was closed. They are supposed to be closed for lunch 1 to 2 according to sign on door. We were there an hour before that. It was closed.… Full review by 251cammiem
