Chippokes is a trip back in time to a simpler, real life, where honest work was valued. Must see the farm museum and sawmill - do miss the meadow behind the barns with the antique tractors. Full review by William A

Hi Tom, We stayed in a cabin while at Chippokes. I walked the park quite a bit, it is quite level until you take the road down to the river. I am sure your camping site will be fine. Our visit …

Our visit was late Fall and we nearly had the park all to ourselves! Good luck! Sorry, no picture of your site. I did take some pics at the park, though.

How is the hunting for shark teeth at the river?
A:
Hit or miss. Some days it is fantastic. There are numerous other fossils, so any day is a good day to hunt. Low tide is best.

Ferry is your best bet. Free and a nice few minutes to relax.

Can you swim at the beach as well or only the pool?
A:
We don’t recommend swimming in the river because it hasn’t been designed for swimming and what you may encounter underwater is unknown but we don’t prevent it.

It's a dirt/grass path around a big field or several big fields. I wasn't impressed with the equestrian trail....
