WEBC9 hdmi port is set to bitstream, eArc enabled, passthrough, and av sync disabled. From the C9 I go to a shArc device since my Yamaha avr is not eArc compatible. The shArc takes the eArc signal and outputs it on a regular hdmi cable (audio only) and input on the avr.

WEBFeb 9, 2004 — If a device needs CEC in any way for eARC it has a design defect. Irritatingly, the Pioneer VSX-LX503 has this design defect. In order to have the option to engage eARC, you must first turn on CEC. So LG, isn't the only one with this design defect.
